The Organic Association Kodagu (OAK) was founded in 2007 by several organic farmers that promote an eco-friendly way of life.

The aims of the association are to raise awareness for organic farming and to market the organic products to make them available for many people.

Organic farming is avoiding any synthetic chemicals for growing food. It gives everyone the opportunity to choose healthy food products that do not harm humans or the environment.

On an organic farm, we also need to supply nutrients to the soil or to control pests and insects. Instead of using synthetic chemicals, we rely on naturally produced agents. This can be any green manure such as leaf litter, compost, cow dung and cow urine. Without cows, organic farming is impossible.

We always welcome new members and meet regularly once every two months. Please contact us if you are interested to join us.
